According to a report by Manish Mehta, New York Jets safety Doug Middleton suffered a torn pectoral muscle in yesterday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.Middleton may seek a second opinion regarding his prognosis. If Middleton is out for the year, with Marcus Maye also currently injured and having been injured much of the year, the Jets are down to two healthy safeties on the roster: Jamal Adams and Terrence Brooks. The Jets have undrafted free agent rookie safety Brandon Bryant and 2017 6th round pick cornerback/safety hybrid Jeremy Clark available for promotion from the practice squad. The Jets also have veteran backup safety Rontez Miles eligible to return from the physically unable to perform list http://www.jetscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-terrelle-pryor-sr.-jersey , though Miles’ health status is uncertain. The Jets might also look to sign a free agent safety or trade for safety help. The obvious choice in free agency would be to re-sign J.J. Wilcox, whom the Jets cut two weeks ago to make room for Rashard Robinson. Wilcox is familiar with the system and could step right in without a learning curve.
