Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (SportsNetwork. Darryl Strawberry Jersey .com) - Martin Kaymer fired a bogey-free, 7-under 65 in the third round Saturday and he pushed his lead to six strokes at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Kaymer, who has already won this event three times, completed 54 holes at 20- under-par 196. His total of 196 broke the tournaments 54-hole scoring record. Paul Casey set the old mark of 197 in 2009. The 30-year-old Kaymer, the reigning Players Championship and U.S. Open winner, will go for his 12th European Tour win on Sunday. Thomas Pieters managed a 2-under 70, but he slid six strokes back at minus-14. Bernd Wiesberger carded a 6-under 66 on the National Course at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and he climbed into a share of third at 13-under 203. Wiesberger was joined there by Alexander Levy, who shot 67 in round three. World No. 1 Rory McIlroy managed just two birdies and a bogey in a round of 71. He fell eight strokes off the pace at minus-12. McIlroy shared fifth place with Charl Schwartzel (65) and Gary Stal (67). McIlroy carded the only birdie of his opening nine at the sixth. Otherwise, he made par on 10 of the first 11 holes. McIlroy birdied the 12th, but gave that shot right back as he tripped to a bogey on No. 13. Im very disappointed, I just didnt putt well, yesterday or today. I hit the ball just as well as I did yesterday and gave myself so many chances, but I didnt convert any. I was very wasteful today. It looks like Im playing for second place tomorrow, admitted McIlroy. Youre always trying to improve and get better and Im going to have to do something a bit better on the greens to shoot a good number and finish the tournament off well. Kaymer started his round with his third birdie in three days at the first. He followed with another birdie on the second as he got up and down from a greenside bunker to move to 15-under. After Pieters inched within one thanks to a birdie at the third, Kaymer rolled in a 5-footer for birdie at the fifth. He converted his fourth birdie of the day at the seventh. Kaymers eagle chip at the eighth lipped out and he settled for a tap-in birdie, which pushed his lead to four strokes. Around the turn, Kaymer kept his round going with a hole-out par at the 10th. His second shot at the par-5 hit a cart path and landed in a bush. After taking a drop, his fourth landed in a greenside bunker. Kaymer holed his bunker shot for an improbable par. Kaymer poured in a long birdie effort at No. 11. He stuffed his approach at the 13th inside two feet and he kicked that in for birdie to move to 20-under. Kaymer closed out his round with five pars in a row. Hopefully its going to be enough, Ive really enjoyed the course. Ive had a very solid three days, with only two bogeys in the first round, Kaymer said. Im a little bit surprised the way I played, but the first round showed me I made the right choice taking it a little bit easy over the winter. Pieters had two early birdies that kept him close to Kaymer, but he parred five in a row from the fourth. Pieters birdied the ninth and was three back at the turn. The Belgian started the back nine with seven more pars. Pieters stumbled to a bogey at the 17th to dip six back, and he parred the last to end there. NOTES: Kaymer has the 54-hole lead for the 11th time on the European Tour, and he has won seven of the previous 10 times he was in that position ... Kaymer won this title in 2008, 2010 and 2011, and was the 54-hole leader each time ... Byeong-Hun An had his first career hole-in-one at the par-3 15th, and that was the fourth ace of the tournament. Jason Vargas Jersey . Many of those eyes are in the United States of America, a country that the sport has wanted on its side for some time. On Sunday the football Gods delivered once again, only this time it was time for good old USA to experience as much heartache as joy. Jeurys Familia Jersey . So it was understandable if he was a little shaky early in his return to the Texas Rangers rotation. He spent most of the outing searching for his best stuff, but still managed to shut down the struggling Minnesota Twins offence. http://www.metsrookiestore.com/Mets-Juan-Lagares-Kids-Jersey/ . Durant finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, Jackson matched his career high with 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Lamb scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, lifting the Thunder to a 94-88 win over San Antonio and snapping the Spurs 11-game winning streak.FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan might have once shared a golf cart, making small talk during an uneventful ride around Washington Redskins training camp 25 years ago or so.The details are fuzzy, but Bowles was a safety in the prime of his playing career and Maccagnan, an eager intern in the front office.I probably checked Todd into training camp, Maccagnan recalled Wednesday.Little did the two know that they would someday share the spotlight as the leaders of the New York Jets new regime — Bowles as coach and Maccagnan as general manager.Although we never really interacted a lot, its kind of ironic our paths have crossed even though we are from two different backgrounds, 40-something miles apart, Maccagnan said at the teams introductory news conference. This is a homecoming of sorts for both Bowles, who grew up in Elizabeth, about 19 miles southeast, and was the Jets secondary coach in 2000, and Maccagnan, whos from Hightstown, about 50 miles south of team headquarters. They both know the history of the franchise, from Broadway Joe making good on his Super Bowl guarantee in 1969 to the failure to make the big game since. Were going to try to build a championship team here, Bowles said. Thats my only job.Funny thing is, Maccagnan thinks theres a good chance the two actually first crossed paths in the late-1970s. Maccagnans father was a teacher at the Peddie School, while Bowles played football at Elizabeth High School. When Maccagnan picked up Bowles from the airport for his second interview with the Jets last week, the two talked about their New Jersey roots.Maccagnan realized that Bowles football team would often have preseason practices at Peddie in 1978 or 79. And thats when it hit the new Jets GM.I actually went out there and probably watched their practices, Maccagnan said, not realizing that 50 yards away, Todd was running around as a junior or senior in high school. Now, theyre on the same team, two Jersey guys aiming to turn around the Jets fortunes after four straight years without making the playoffs. It was just one of those situations that just felt right, Maccagnan said.Maccagnan was hired last Tuesday to replace the fired John Idzik. Bowles was signed a day later to replace Rex Ryan.Ive been at it 15 years now and hopefully,, Im making better decisions or good decisions because, yeah, you have to win these games and you have to get to the next level, owner Woody Johnson said. Tom Seaver Jersey. Each of the gentlemen sitting to my left are, in my estimation, the people to do it.And unlike Ryans first brash, headline-making news conference with the Jets in 2009, Bowles offered no Super Bowl guarantees but rather modest goals focused on restoring a winning approach. Were going to be a tough team, Bowles promised, an intelligent team.A few months into his tenure, Ryan declared that he didnt come to New York to kiss (Bill) Belichicks rings. Bowles was asked about those same rings, and managed not to provide the New England Patriots with any bulletin board material.Im going to work on getting my own rings, he said. The 51-year-old spent the last two seasons as Arizonas defensive co-ordinator. Before that, he worked with some of the games most successful coaches — Bill Parcells, Joe Gibbs and George Seifert to name a few — first as a player during his eight-year NFL career and then as an assistant coach. As you get older, you evolve and you learn more of the football game, Bowles said. And in 2007, maybe 2007-08, I started to think, OK, Im starting to learn the game pretty good. If I can get some things down, if Im good enough and somebody is lucky enough to see me as a head coach, it was about that time.Maccagnan, 47, had been with the Houston Texans since the franchises inception in 2000, brought on board by Charley Casserly — who Johnson tapped as a consultant in the Jets hiring process. Maccagnan had carved out a reputation as a tireless scout who identified key players for the Texans over the years.People in my profession work their entire career to get an opportunity like this, Maccagnan said. This is my lifes passion, my dream. And to actually have this opportunity, basically 50 miles from where I grew up is truly a dream come true. After that car ride together last week, it didnt take long for Bowles and Maccagnan to feel comfortable tackling a new challenge with the Jets — together. We hit it off, Bowles said, smiling. So, going forward, its going to be a dream working with this guy.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and AP NFL Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap Capitals Jerseys Cheap Blackhawks Jerseys Cheap Avalanche Jerseys Cheap Stars Jerseys Cheap Wild Jerseys Cheap Predators Jerseys Cheap Blues Jerseys Cheap Jets Jerseys Cheap Ducks Jerseys Cheap Coyotes Jerseys Wholesale Flames Jerseys Cheap Golden Knights Jerseys Cheap Oilers Jerseys Cheap Kings Jerseys Cheap Sharks Jerseys Cheap Canucks Jerseys ' ' '
